I hope that is not an example that you feel is better than the shots on Hallowell & Co. To my eye the light is positioned above and in the direction of the camera and the light is so strong that it washes out the top of the butt stock and and part of the mid stock. There is also no detail in the photo.We all have our opinions. I've been working professionally for 45 years doing product photography of all sorts for international clients. I still think the background color wasn't the best choice.View attachment 1544873
If you click on the thumbnails on Hallowell site you will see multiple pictures of each of the firearms. I have never seen better lighting or detail.
