Better Cell Phone Carrier?

I always used Verizon because the service in rural areas, where I hunt, seemed to be the best. I paid about $125/mon for two phones. My wife and I had I8 phones. Last year, Verizon notified me that they will no longer support the I8 phones because they weren't 5G compatible. They told me that I would have to buy 2 new phones.

I was getting plenty of mail from T-Mobile about there senior discount plan so I stopped in to talk with them. They gave me a more extensive plan (unlimited everything) for only $35 per phone. They gave me a free I13plus for signing up, and I bought a second I13 for my wife. My bill is $70/mon plus an additional $35/mon for the extra phone until its paid off. The service has been great.

Very happy to leave Verizon. Got new phones, better service and cost MUCH less. Now I get all kinds of promotional offers from Verizon, who wants me back.

I also had to replace an old IPhone 5S to be 5G compliant. I am still with Verizon, but this thread has opened my eyes. Last year I switched to AT&T fiber for internet, so AT&T is offering a good deal if I switch the voice lines. I have a friend who switched from Verizon to Consumer Cellular, and it cut her phone bill in half.

The lesson here is that it pays to shop around.

As a former employee of AT&T, I had their service because I received an "employee discount." Found out some others were getting a better rate than I was. Our son did some research and got a family plan from T-Mobile. Also received a military discount. Did not have any bars in the house. Called them about it and they supplied a "mini tower" which gave 4 bars in the house. Had to pay a $25 deposite for it.

$13 dollars per month each I think it's a pretty good deal.

Mine is $20 for 3 months. Over 6,000 min and texts and 6 Gigs data accumulated.
I got a couple of Tracfones for a buddy and his wife when their 3G went away (2 $50 Samsungs). They pay $20/month each for unlimited talk/text and 2 0r 3 G of data. Tracfone was bought by Verizon but I don't know if they also use other towers. We don't travel much (or use much data), so service has been flawless.

I don't own (or desire to own) a cell phone. My employer supplies one. When I retire you can call and leave a message or drop by. I am sick of seeing what cell phones have done to society. Soon you won't have to be intelligent - AI will do your thinking for you. Come on Jesus.
