'Better' bullet

I am currently shooting 30 caliber SMK 155 gr. bullets out of my F-Class gun at 1000 yards. Each time I measure them from base to bore diameter, the lengths are all over the place,I guess due to different machines). This seems to be causing differing BC's and thus differing verticals at 1000 yards. With the new F-Class targets out now, I need a better bullet. My barrel is a tight,.298") Krieger 30" long and the cartridge is 308 Winchester.

Ideas?

Try 154g Lapua's. If they are anything like the 105g 6mm bullets, it would be the way to go. That is why I do not shoot Sierra's, tired of 10-15 piles of bullets in the basement, sorted by ogive etc. The Lapua's, the difference is so small, you can't measure it so I just shoot 'em out of the box.

+1

Lapua and Berger are the most dimensionally consistent bullets of those that I've measured, which includes Hornady, Sierra, and Nosler.
