Best VV Powder for 62 gr eld-vt

I wasn't going to restock powder for a while, but with the current situation I guess I'll get some.

I am debating n135, n140, and n540. I already keep n133 on hand. Which one you think has the best chance of shooting well in 223 and 223ai with 62gr ELD-VT?

I have used 26.3gr N135 with the 62 gr ELD-Vt in two different 223 AI’s. Both were in the 3420 fps range with excellent accuracy.

I'm interested in trying this bullet out. I'm just waiting to need something else from Midway so I can add a box to an order.

I'd like to get the bullet up to 3200 fps from our Tikka bolt gun.
I got a little faster than that from tikka varmint with n133 but it gave 3 moa groups. Ill try again with new powder, but I think its the marginal stability. Going to try in my 8 twist AI, with new powder too. If neither work ill get a 7.5 or 7. I have 1k of them to shoot up!

Someone on M4carbine.net used the Hornady app to calculate that 26.2 gr of Varget would get to the 3200+ mark. Not sure if that would even fit in a 223 case though. I load a lot of long ammo for the tikka (88 gr ELDMs and 85 gr Noslers) so I don't mind loading long, but maybe N135 would be a better starting powder.

Nosler loads a 62 grain bullet in their .22 Nosler varmint load at 3,200 fps. I think that is on the warmer side, even for a .22 Nosler. If one can get 3,200 out of a .223 with the 62 ELDVT I would think that has to be a very hot load - if not even possible?

It was at book max, but everything looked fine. Maybe the starline 556 brass and 7.5 primers are tougher than average. I was like 100 fps over the book for each charge weight. I started low.

3,200 is easy for n540. i think my buddy runs his at a comfortable 3,300. @Flea21

Oh i should add the coal was really long. I don't have my notes handy, but it was longer than the VV or hodgdon data. That rifle has an mdt aics mag.
