Best Twist for a 6.5x284

What has been the most accurate bbl twist you have had in a 6.5x284 when shooting the 142 gr class of bullets. This is for 600 and 1K shooting.

I see that folks had anything from an 8T , 8.5T and 9T.

Which one have you found that works best.

Bob

I've had a couple 8 twist and a half dozen 8.5twists. They both work fine with 142 SMKs.

I shoot cut rifle exclusively. YMMV with button rifled at 8.5s. I have no first hand data with these.

Thanks for the input.

I have one Krieger that is 8.5T and one Bartline 5R that is 8T.

Have not had on target results that impress me yet so will continue to experiment.

Bob

You'll never go wrong with a one in eight in 6.5 . Mine even handles bullets down to 83gr FB 6.5's. Nice little bug hole groups.
