Best twist for 17 Mach IV

I am looking into building a 17 Mach IV to do some pest contral. I am planing on shooting 25 gr. pills most of the time but am also intested in shooting some of the 37 gr. pills for accuracy. What twist is best to go with?

If you wait a little bit longer than you can get it from remingtion as a 17 fireball. IF not than I would go with a 1 in 10.

My Sako single shot 17M4 has a 25.5" K&P 1-10" twist and I've shot 15-30 grain pills. I would avoid the 37 gr bullets as they require at least a 1-7" twist and the throat would be too long for any other bullet, besides the 17M4 has such a short neck.

For varmints get some 20 gr Vmaxs and don't look back.

You don't need the heavier bullets for accuracy, I've shot a .069 5 shot group at 102 yds using Unmussig 21 grain bullets with a mild charge of H4198.

I have a 17 Mach IV with a 10 twist Shilen, it will not stabilize the 25g Vmax. I would get a 9 twist next time. The 37g is beyond the scope of a Mach IV an dthere are better cases for shooting that bullet.
