"Best" seating die for 22 hornet

I am an experienced reloaded but new to reloading for the Hornet. I loaded some test ammo using 34gr Dogtown HP's and got some bad bulging in the case neck when seating bullets. The rifle is a CZ, the targets will be ground squirrels. I am using Lee dies at the moment, although I have a set of Redding K hornet dies in my stash. I could try seating with the Redding seater but haven't yet.

I know Wilson makes an inline seater die. Is that the bomb, or is there some other brand/style that I should consider?

Without exaggerating I've got at least a half dozen different die sets here for the Hornet including a Wilson arbor press bushing die. What I found that works the best for me is the Lee collet neck sizer set and a light touch from their factory crimp die. If the case needs full length sizing the die out of the Redding set does the best job of not over sizing. The Hornet is a thin little case. I'm guessing your die is over sizing the neck or you need to give the inside of the neck a little more chamfer to get away from the bulging.

I don't load for the Hornet, but my 32-20 brass has really fragile necks. The Lyman M die is a necessity for straight bullet seating.

The best sizing die is the Lee collet die and the best seater is the Wilson straight line die. Your die is oversizing the neck and is producing the bulge in the neck. Some of the older dies were made for the early .223" diameter Hornet bullets and not the current .224" diameter bullets.

OK, been away for a few days so just saw this. Anyway, I will get a Lee Collet die on order and see how that does, before adding the wilson seater.
