Google has shown me that the answer of "Will the DTAC work in an 8 twist barrel?" to be 'definitely...maybe'. It works great in some barrels, and very poorly in others.
If I was dead-set on using the DTAC, I'd probably spend the money for a 7.5 twist Krieger, Pac-Nor, Bartlein, etc.
If I would be fine with shooting the 107 SMK or 105 Hybrid should 115s not shoot well, I'd get an 8 twist Criterion and a box of DTACs and see what happens...
