Best Quck Detach Rings

I am looking for the "best" quick detach rings in 1" and 30mm, and I would like to hear the experiences of those who have used quick detach rings -- good and bad points.

Thanks in advance,
Jim Hardy

Jim, I've used the Leupold QRW rings on a large number of rifles with no problems of any sort. I don't shoot scope anymore, but when I did I would actively mount and dismount the scopes and the point of impact was always close enough for two sighters. There's probably a lot of other good products out there, but these were functional, well made and easy to get - oh, and reasonably priced too!

I have been having good luck with Warne QD rings. I have only detached a couple of times but they where acceptable for hunting, only slight adjustments needed.

I have used the Leupold QRW rings and found them to be a quality product at a good price.

Look closely at the current F-Class champ's rifle, and you will see a pair on top - http://www.6mmbr.com/gunweek088.html ...

I have a set of Warne Maxima QD rings in 30mm on a varmint rifle. Very happy with them. Nice fit and finish. The only downside is that if you want to lap or epoxy bed your rings, I can't see of a good way of doing this with vertically split rings.

Have a set of both the Warne and the Loopie QD and for the life of me I cannot find one scintilla of difference.

Granted the Warne is NOT on a hard recoiling gun,a 300-221 Whisper) but the Loopie is on an 1895 45-70 that I have stoked with some shoulder pain loads.

Never more than 1 click off of absolute return of poi.

Don't think you can go wrong with either one.

Jim,

The rings I use now are not Quick detach, but work like one. Burris Zee Sig. ring. . I use the Leuplod QD bases and Just remove the base screw, and they will slide off.
