Best Primers for 6.5x47 & 6x47

The 450's are considered the best, I do use Remington 7 1/2's at times.

Havn't had a reason to try anything else!

I agree with the above, BUT primers are a loading variable that should be utilized to find the BEST combo. EG. Wolf SRM's work well also and their CHEAPER,(just an example)

Ive done a bit of playing with primers in the 6x47 with H4350 powder and CCI 450s and Rem 7 1/2s were best always.
The SRM Wolf/Tul) primers are my favourite in shorter cartridges with faster burning powders such as 6 Dasher.

I'm pretty sure my gunsmith gave up on the Russian primers as he was having piercing problems. He finds the CCIs great

The Wolf SR Magnum primer has a thicker cup than the standard SR but they both have the same mix in them. Use the Magnum primer and you piercing will go away.
