S-TAC 1-4.5X24 SR1 SERVICE RIFLE SCOPE - Zero Stop
Built for precision competition and target shooting, Sightron's S-TAC 1-4.5x24 rifle scope with tactical turrets delivers superior optics and accuracy when it counts.sightron.com
The circular reticle allows good alignment with the bull; just go for a white donut between the reticle and the bull. It's surprising what can be done with a 4.5x scope at distance. Now that Sadlak mount that keeps coming loose is another subject . . . .
Morgan,WOA scope is good
Sightron is least expensive
Most military teams use NF
March is used by some that want a specific reticle.
Many good choices now, depends what you want to spend. And yes, use a scope very difficult to compete with Irons today.
Alan,Morgan,
Do you know if scores have improved since the rule allowing scopes was allowed, some 8 or 9 years ago?
Alan
For the average person, yes. The very top scores haven't changed much, there wasn't very far to go. They do happen more often though.Morgan,

The sightron is on sale in a couple places, possibly because there is a new version coming out. If you are looking to shoot service rifle, the 4.5x max is what you have but if you shoot match rifle as mentioned previously, the sky is the limit.Thank you for pointing out this scope. For sure they have. Leg points before scopes could normally be had quite easily with a 470. Now you better be closer to 480 to guarantee leg points. Removing the sight alignment of short radius on AR to scopes, even with a simple 4.5x scope is a big advantage. Just last week I shot a 199-11@600 with sightron scope on my SR. Best I ever did at 600 with AR and irons was a 195…..Morgan,

It is a quality optic for the price, and the clicks are “true”. The scope tracks well.Thank you for pointing out this scope. I did not know it existed, and it is right in my price range!
Thank you for considering switching to Highpower Rifle. I really hope you do it.I’m thinking of going from F-class to NRA Highpower with my AR, and understand they now allow optics up to 4.5X, and I’d like to use that over iron sights. What , in your opinion is the best choice for an optic in that case? Thank you!
