Was looking at the sig Models but reviews look bad , so what are my options ?

I've got a Terrapin X rangefinder that will connect with my Kestrel 5700 AB, BT. Now I'm on with my first shot at 600. Haven't had any issues ranging to 1800. Haven't tried to range beyond 1800 but others have ranged much farther. I can upgrade the firmware for the rangefinder using the Terrapin X app on my phone. I love the setup.

I just bought a leica 2000-B. It does the same job my 1200 does. I found no difference, other than the ballistics app that I can't use for my wildcat. In general, the more $$, the better the RF. or anything else. I would insist on red LED's tho. Black numbers are a deal breaker for me.

I also just ordered the leica 2000b, haven't received it to test it yet. Eurooptic has a pretty good price going on them. It is replacing a leica crf 1000r. I have ranged deer out to +900 yrds with the 1000R but it takes a damn steady hand or rest. Any interest in my 1000r just PM me, I will make a deal as it is no longer needed.

I use a Nikon Monarch Gold 1200. It wont go to 1200, in fact unless the conditions are perfect it wont go to 1000. But it will very accurately do 800-900 or so. I have personally never had any use for anything Bushnell ever made, but I was given a 1500 and I have to say I am impressed. It will go to 1200 or so in less than ideal conditions and honestly the glass is pretty damn good. If I am not mistaken the Army used to issue {Army version of course} this same rangefinder with the grenade launcher kit.

Have been looking at that 2000-b. Will it range a coyote at 5-600 yards?

If you’re looking to range a coyote, reliably, on snow, past 400 yards when it’s cold, buy a G7 or get a vectronix.

I’ve had the unique privilege of testing a lot of RFs in these types of conditions on coyotes and the G7 is the only one that will do it consistently. I’ve heard from a friend that has the vectronix it works as well.

Snow and cold are hard conditions to range in.

Have used Bushnell for the past two years PD hunting and have no problem getting 1200 had a problem with the 1st generation and they took care of the issue by sending me a 2nd generation at no cost, very happy with customer service would by again.

I haven't had the chance to test it yet. Like my 1200, it depends. Very flat ground, moving coyote, snow...it can be tough. But if any type of rolling terrain, it will definitely pick up the terrain. Out to 600, you have to hold it very steady. Like tripod mounted steady. Tress, hills are no problem tho.
