I found my early 1885 Low-wall Winchester and the mechanics are in excellent condition. I had some work done on it and am not really satisfied. Can any of you suggest a gunsmith who is really, really competent in most any task with an Low-Wall Winchester built in 1892~? He must also have decent turn-around time.
I'm not looking for Turnbull quality work, but I do want the rifle to be right~! It's my shooter, and I want it to look decent and shoot accurately~! So far it had had the barrel relined to .38 Special and the cracked stock has been repaired(?)~! I don't yet know how accurate it is since I haven't yet tried it out
