best glass for F class

I know this one has been beaten to death many times , but here we go again and again , and again ....... Right now my stick sports a 12 x 42 NF BR . Dont get me wrong , I love this scope . For some reason , the bullet stop (683 yards ) is blurry . Not a big deal for comp , but this area likes to attract furry rodents ..... This is a silly thing to prompt an upgrade . I dont have a budget . I just want the hands down best for tracking , clarity , and power . thank you for the input

I have used NF, Weaver and Sightron scopes in F-Class, but the March scopes are just so good!
Expensive, but well worth the money.

Got both of those Ian but my pick of the three I own is the March-X 8-80x56mm with MTR-2 Reticle.

Not much more dollars and on good days it's nice to see those bullet holes on distant paper targets.

I completely agree. and like you I have had my share of different glass.

The funny thing I see here is that both March and Nightforce are using Japanese Optical Glass and probably manufactured in the same facility with the same coatings, just different in the position and design of lens placement.

Perhaps things have changed but if I remember correctly there was only one extremely high quality optical glass maker in Japan who supplied a number of grades depending on who wanted to buy it and at what price quality.

Would love to see something like the interviews / tour of the Zeiss facility talking about Schott Glass and what Zeiss expected out of optics.

Thanks to all, I was torn between NF comp , March , and S&B ...... I may get one of each - for research purpose . BTW , the older NF was made in australia . I think the new ones are US . Jap glass is used in NF and march . not sure about S&B

I bought a new Nightforce 12-42 Br last fall and it said made in Japan on the box.

Mega, started off as an Australian company, (maybe still is?) but manufacturing shifted to Japan. Not sure if its now a USA company or not but I did find this info on the subject.

I think the best depends on what you want and what you like. I have a couple of March 10-60x52 BR scopes with the 1/16th small dot and like them very much...
