Here's the link for info on it if you're curious;

They have every bell and whistle you will need and that rifle will probably out-shoot a lot of customs out there. Street price should be well within your budget.
Yeah they are made in Japan, but I'll tell you what...Those Japanese boys sure do know how to make a firearm!
There is not a browning factory weapon of any kind I have ever touched that did not absolutely shoot the lights out with hand loads. I mean SUB 1/4 MOA every time in my experience. My brother in law's 300 Win Mag in a lever action (BLR) will even touch all 3 shots at 100 yards! It's a lever action for cryin' out loud! We've been able to get all bullet holes touching at 100 yards using hand loads in every browning rifle I've dealt with in the past. I have yet to personally experience a browning weapon of any kind that is not extremely accurate. Whether it be a rifle, pistol, or shotgun.
And I have only dealt with sporter hunting rifles. So I can only imagine how awesome the accuracy would be from their heavy 28" barreled Target Model???....Dang, I'm gonna talk myself into buying one now!!!LOL!
bozo699 said:there triggers wayyyyy suck though and on the new ones they are non adjustable and made of plastic, complete JUNK for a trigger on a $1000 rifle IMHO but my smith found a source that sells a replacement trigger for them that is adjustable and the trigger shoe is even gold in color

Use the search function. Such questions are asked/answered HUNDREDS of times on this and other forums, like Savage Shooters. As to shooting to 1,400m with a .260, good luck. :That's 1,531 yards. You'd be lucky to do that pushing a good 7mm bullet, with its way superior BC, to such distance, and even then it's iffy. Going to the range to shoot 100y or whatever distance is a different world than long range. And I'm thinking you're new to long range, otherwise you wouldn't be asking such questions... Walk before you run. 8)

I built and shoot an AR15 out to 1k about a once a month, and 3-500yards 2-3 times a month. I am sure under the right wind or with enough time I could shoot it to 1400m+ as well. http://www.longrangehunting.com/articles/shooting-223-mile-1.php
However, I am not as familiar with other guns and calibers so I posted the question. And thanks to this thread I will be building or buying something used.![]()

I have a custom build, with 26" WOA 1:8 stainless bull barrel. Geissele trigger, custom HPArmory stock etc etc. I am trying to sell it so I can move up to a bigger caliber but it seems in all the craziness people would rather buy AR's that can't shoot through the same hole?!![]()

Nice I also went with WOA, but opted for the 1:7 Varmint upper off the shelf for a lower-cost build 20" barrel. It still shoots very well. You going to bigger caliber for an AR platform, or switching over to bolt action? If you keep with the AR platform, I hear really good things about 6mmAR (a necked-down 6.5 Grendel). Good BC bullets, and Good Velocities make for an excellent 1000+ yard shooter.

they had to get extended gas-tubes. Of course they'll never part with them either. I'm sure
plans are to take them to the grave.

Looking to upgrade from .223 to .260 and only have about 1500$ to spend on a rifle.I already have glass. Anyone have any experience they can share with your factory rifle shooting the 139-142gr bullets out to 1k? Right now I am leaning toward the Savage LRP but wanted to check and see what the experts where using. ;D
