Best custom action in 700 footprint

Myself and a buddy are looking to dive off into the custom 700 action world. Looking at the Kelbly, Borden, Stiller, etc in 700 footprint. We both use picatinny rails for the scope mount and would like that in 0 MOA. And we both want a left port right bolt.

Any opinions?

defiance machine deviant sounds like what your wanting... integrated pic rail and recoil lug..

I have two of them, great actions

sounds like your building more of a hunting/tactical rifle to me. This is the perfect action for it!


after that... if you were building a target rifle, competition gun... itd be the borden actions.

kelbly panda actions are for BR style guns.

stiller actions are good, hunting and tactical style.. but they dont have the integrated lug and rail parts. thats why Id pick defiance firat

I am getting a Single shot for target, and it will spend most of its life in a benchrest stock. I will be shooting short line and 600 matches. I shoot 6BR and 243. Maybe even a 1000 yard this year. Probably get a Jewel varmint trigger or possibly the new Rifle Basix BR trigger.

Get the Bix `n Andy Tac Sport trigger.......

Sounds like a BAT action may be more in line with that type of shooting.

You should look into Bix 'n Andy triggers as well.

Wow the Rebel is truly a custom!!! they let you pick whatever option you want and it is included in the price. That is pretty cool.

It is $1200 as I recall but nothing is included. But I will double check. As I recall it was like six months to get one too...
