Best bullet weights for 1:8 twist

I am shooting a Savage Long Range Precision Varminter (LRPV) in 6MM BR. The gun has a 1:8 twist

I target shoot mainly at 100 yds off a bench rest. using a Sightron SIII 8x32x56 scope & 32 power.

My question is what bullet weights will shoot most accurately with this twist and at this range.

With my limited shooting I am getting smaller groups with 80 gr Bergers than 105 grain VLD Bergers.

For 100 yard use, there is no need to have a ballistic advantage, so bullet weight and BC is a hypothetical.
With that said, I myself would favor lighter bullets for your 100yd usage and desire.
There typically cheaper, more readily available, and have less bearing surface (some gain to barrel life).

I have an 8 twist McGowen barrel on my Savage 6BR and I've had my smallest 100 yard groups using 68 gr Barts Ultras.

my LRPV shot 80bf,105 VLD,AND HYBs all about the same @ 100. 90 percent of the 5 shot groups were all touching.
