Best Bullet for 1 in 10 twist 6BR

I like the 90gr Berger best for my guns. The 95gr VLD Berger is very good if the gun is throated for them. 88gr is good also.

For smaller furry things
The 65 V-max at warm speeds using R10-X makes nice paddock pizza
Mines a cut and shut Tikka S/S factory .243 barrel to a no turn 6mm BR- so much more emphatic than my .223 with similar weight projectiles and only a couple extra grains of powder.

Having a couple of Speer 85 SPBT,BC of .404) will deal with very effectively any larger varmints you might come across from hogs, goats to Bambi- though I wouldn't recommend it for something as large as Elk or that sort of thing.

No idea about target projectile though- dont shoot paper unless I'm working up a load.

Interesting. What projectiles in particular in this comparison?

To Ghermitage probably a mistype. ogre probably meant to type 243 instead of 223, I do it all the time, is my read into it. My 6br 1-10 twist lilja shoots everything from 77 lapua to 95 bibs well. Still playin with loads and powders. I AM HAPPY with its accuracy & performance. Bear in mind I am primarily a varminter who loves the 6br accuracy. 3 shot groups are awesome, 5 shots tend to open a little because of the nut behind the trigger. always 3/8 to 1/2 in at 100 yd

Sorry- but nope- I was meaning the 223 and the 60 V-max or the win 64 grain SP
V's
the 6Br and the 58 V-max or the 65 V-max using R10X

The 6BR loads make much more emphatic paddock pizza out of small furries than the .223 does.

My apologies, I was assuming, you know what that makes me  I have had good luck with the 50 gr Ballistic Tips in my 223. Sorry again. God I love the smell of gunpowder!

I guess then that the 6.5mm 95gr V-max is much more emphatic than the 6mm 87gr V-max when hitting at similar velocities, and the difference between them cannot be accounted for by the 8gr difference in weight.

If you'll send me some and I'll give em a go in my 6.5x55 and let you know

but then again haven't tried the 87 6mm in the 6 BR yet either

How well will the 1-10 twist shoot lighter 65 grain bullets, V Max etc) Looking for a little more SPLAT Factor. If it matters it's a 22'' 1-10 twist Lilja. Pretty happy with the gun, still playing with loads can't quite get it below the .4 mark with 5 shots. Thanks Again
