Kyle, buy a GOOD scope and suffer once... most guys work their way up the "optics ladder" and in the long run spend money foolishly, with their mistakes being sold on the classifieds at a loss. GOOD optics have increased in value over the last 5 years. Leupolds, Nightforce maintain their value (in the higher mag. models) very well... it is not like buying a vehicle.

ckwatson if you can afford a leupold ,go for it even a varix 1 . the 270 is a flat shooting animal and with a 3x9 you should be able to reach game at 300 yards.
