What are the best bore brushes on the market? Would you recommend bronze or nylon?

I don't use any brushes. Haven't since about 1990.
Also we are not recommending the use of Iosso bore paste. To the best of our knowledge if you don't get it all out a 100% when you shoot the next rounds it leads to copper fouling issues. Use Rem. bore cleaner instead. We will not warranty anymore barrels where people have used Iosso in them and the barrel starts copper fouling,the barrel acts like it is being fire lapped is the only way I can describe it. Same thing with buying the fire lapping kits. If you fire lap them they are yours. We will not warranty any barrel that has been fire lapped also. We have no control over what someone is doing to the barrel when things like this are done. If you have a question or concern on a barrel best to call and ask our recommendations/thoughts before you try something like this.

Donovan, I understand where you are coming from. What we have seen with the Iosso and what is understood also among some of the top shooters and smiths and even action builders is that if you don't get it all out and when you shoot the next round down the barrel it acts like fire lapping. Then the next thing that the shooter sees is the barrel starts copper fouling to the point that the barrel won't group after say a dozen rounds or so.
I understand about getting the powder fouling out. I know some of the regular chemical cleaners will work good on the copper but not the powder residue. This is why I use the Rem. clean. It works really well on the carbon fouling and is in more of a liquid form than a paste form and is easier to get out.
I do agree with and understand about using the Iosso in a barrel as it gets later in the life of the barrel but I won't use it in a new to fairly new barrel.

I recently got a borescope and and have found all the liquids in my box lacking for the compacted carbon residue toward the chamber. I have gone to using mostly ISSO paste to go after this area. Are you guys saying that ISSO is abrasive? It doesn't feel like it. I find that a couple of light oil patches seem to get it the pastes out.

Mike, The problem seems to be that if any Iosso type cleaner is left in the bore,didn't get it all out) and you shoot the next round down the barrel, my guess is the paste that's left in there and the next bullet down will scratch the barrel some what or some how. I don't know the exact conditions that it has to be for it to happen.
We just saw another barrel a short time ago and it looked like it had all of these weird swirl polish type marks in it. The only thing that is consistent is that it seems when someone cleans with it and then shoots a round down the barrel the barrels seem to possibly start fouling with out warning. Again I don't know what the exact conditions have to be but when this seems to be happening the common denominator seems to be the Iosso.

I know this is old but after iosso or and other abrasive like, just clean the barrel with alcohol a few times.
