Best Birthday surprise yet.

Today after only 5 days in shipping (new record here) I received my personal copy of Quickload and my Applied Ballistics. I have developed a new sense of aww and embarrassment at what little I know about ballistics. I have spent the entire evening in my 5x8 room exploring the pages and manuals for my new toys. Couldn't have asked for a better birthday they even had real burgers at lunch and ribs and mac&cheese for dinner. Havn't had actually burgers in 3 months so that was a really nice lunch! I would also like to say thankyou to NECO as when my card was declined they immediately let me know that day so I could fix it fast and once fixed and charged they shipped within the hour. Now I just need to get home and apply this new found knowledge bank on some of my rifles.

That's great Minesweeper, where do they have you stationed? if not classified. I am glad you had some food to your liking on your birthday and I am glad it was a good birthday, thanks for all you do in keeping us state siders safe and free, keep up the good work and you and all your buddies come home safe and sound, that would be the best birthday present you could give me,...thanks again for Sharing!!

Well, we know what somebody will be doing with their freetime in the near future. I remember when I first got mine I would wake up in the morning, make a pot of coffee, then go sit in front of the PC for hours going through thhis program. I spent days just going over the instructions along with the writeup on 6mmBR about using QuickLoad.
And, you are correct about NECO!! Ed Dillon and his folks are great at the art of helpful service. And, being a retired 'BUFF' driver,,, you know he has to be a good guy.. :)
Enjoy your new software. Let me know if you have any questions; I will answer any question. May not be right,,, but I will answer it. :D

Just a quick clear the air. I am not currently military, I was but got out to pursue a contracting job to save up money to start my own gunshop once the war/police action here dies down. I was army but I like my hair long and gave my NCO ulcers.
So last night I fell asleep reading applied ballistics and accidentally put a crease in the cover! :-[ I wish it was easier for me to play around with quickload but I have a desktop computer and live in an area so small that I must place the keyboard and mouse in my lap while sitting in my bed so for now I am just going to read over the book till I have a slightly better understanding of what I can use quickload for to reduce the neck aches from looking at the screen. Cool thing was day after birthday I got another present! 10 MK19 to gauge and work over.
I will be sending you a PM blueeyes for any info you have on how to utilize quickload without getting overwhelmed.
I am in Afghanistan in logar province on a rather large base called shank for those interested. I do work on smallarms and in my free time I am learning to weld, getting my helicopter liscense with some help from my granddad and all his old school books from when he did it, and trying to further my knowledge base in anything related to firearms while I still have the time. Cool thing is that some fun soldiers found out I have some experience in SASS and 2 and 3 gun shooting in the states and had me make them up some targets in the welding shop to build a new pistol range. Still working on a Texas star, once the re-bar gets in but got a bunch of targets built using nothing but scrap bed frames and shot up armor off of different things. I will post a pic of the targets once they are off of camera. Too bad we can't get a a mill out here then I would really have some fun.
