Guys, I recently purchased a Remington 40x stainless steel .223 Single shot at an auction. Upon getting the rifle home, I noticed a hairline crack in the grip from the back of the trigger guard for about 1 1/2”. The stock has the action bedded so I’m not really worried about the crack but I thought if I could find a benchrest stock (possibly used or at a decent price), I would replace the stock. I just started working up loads for the rifle and it seems to be a .5” rifle with only minor load development. What replacement stock would you guys recommend as I’ve never shot a benchrest stock.
