Best Bedding System

I asked a similar question. I think most people favoured glass bedding with pillars to relieve stress. Icould be wrong. In Austrlaia,in my club, all of the top shots have an aluminuim bed with pillars. And 2-3 are making up the australia team to vs new zealand so im sure that that work absolutely fine.:D

There are a few stocks that come "from the factory" with Al. bedding blocks. I have found that they usually can be improved by bedding over the integral block. Of course they don't need pillars as the block provides this feature. For all the other stocks, without blocks, the Al., or steel, pillars and bedding are the ticket.

No way on gods green earth will a factory bedding block be as consistent as pillars and bedding, on all actions, and thats why we all rebed the darn things.....
Most laminates don't even need the pillars in place, but do take to the bedding part.....

I've not shot any rifles with pillar bedding, mine has the aluminum full length block, and I've bedded the action to that with Devcon steel putty. Works very well.
