Best ballistic App

Ledd, the only thing a Kestrel does is give you the wind where you are standing. Without it, AB will pull in the closest station weather, usually from an airport with AWOS. In states where airports can be quite far away from your location, this may not work but my usual range is three miles from an airport with weather reporting.
AB has no facility for backup is why I give it a behind the times rating. I had ten rifles and load data on one phone and when it went TU, I was stuck with reloading everything manually on my new phone. Thirty years ago that would have been unacceptable with a database program, let alone now.
Maybe i have a different AB app but it can sync to an online storage , I have multiple devices using the same profiles.

As a "free and simple" option with graphing for Android, I like "Exterior ballistics calculator" by Ale7.
Easy to make basic entries, will save ballistics table data to .csv file. Trajectory plot has toggle "on/off" for showing "kill zone" (sure, gimmicky) and drop values. Also has BC calculation, stores 5x bullet/condition profiles. Pretty nice features, for a "freebie".
ETA: data matches perfectly with Pointblank, FWIW.
Edit 2: I initially called it "External ballistcs"; corrected to proper nam "Exterior ballistics".

For Berger bullets, use their online calculator
For Hornady bullets, use their online calculator

Both use drag functions for their bullets instead of G1/G7
If there is no drag functions, then use 3-values G1/G7

I will second GeoBallistics / BallisticArc. I started using it recently and it works well!
None of them allow for multiple wind values simultaneously (5/10/15mph) which would be a terrific feature ;)
I wouldn't recommend this app anymore. The "Match" feature is nice for PMS style shooting, but has not been updated in forever and is essentially done. It's essentially JBM (which is not bad), but is not as reliable or adjustable as Shooter.

Shooter is also old, but keeps on chugging along.
AB app is hate/love for me and expensive.
Strelok seems good and people like it, but I dont care for the interface.

It's been a few years since I downloaded a ballistic app and ready to upgrade. I saw a young PRS fellow at the range yesterday and he showed me one that allowed you to edit the dope table to the actual drops. Been using Applied Ballistics and Strelok Pro, neither one allows this the same way.
TIA for an suggestions.

StrelokPro allows you to true velocity or bc at multiple distances.

So if you have your actual dope written down for 3 yardages you can enter that in the truing table and get a new table based on that.

Or…..if you have 10 distances written down simply adjust BC or speed to match what you have for the given day.

Personally I would t worry too much about this since once you “true” at a given atmospheric situation you should be good to go.
