Best Balance and trickler

Normally I would put a post like this in the "reloading" section, but I would like to stay within the group that loads for these cartridges. Currently I have a hornady scale..the auto tricling kind. Works good for my pistol loads and 308 (not great for extruded powders, but what is) I was curious if this will give me the level of accuracy I will want for my 6.5 x 47 or is there a better alternative at a reasonable price. I will use the rifle for shooting F-open--(high power long range shooting) from 600-1000yds.

Personally, I am not a fan of the "auto-charge" type dispenser. I use the A&D FX-120I scale, which accurately measures down to 0.02grs of powder QUICKLY. I use a Harrel's powder measure to throw close to the charge I want, then trickle up with an Omega trickler. I think this is a pretty quick and definitely a more accurate way to weigh powder, especially if you want the type of accuracy necessary to be competitive at 1000 yards.

I'm with Shoot Dots. I use a Sartorius Entris 64 1S and an Omega II trickler. I use my Chargemaster 1500 to throw a weight of .5 grain under my final weight and then transfer the powder over to the Sartorius and trickle up to the final weight. Here is a video of the Sartorius and Omega in action.

Bought the Omega Trickler and found a scale with mg accuracy and readability. I just couldn't buy a $1500 analytical balance, which is a good deal for .1mg accuracy but I think I will be fine with.02 gr. Thanks for the lead on the trickler. Does it have an ac adapter? or can you use one? I happen to have about 20 9V ac adaptors. I still have another post about perferred cleaning tools, which usually sparks a heated debate on other forums. but no opinions here that are being shared

The problem with cheaper electronic scales is that they drift. If you can't pay for a decent electronic balance, get a tuned beam balance.

The only problem I have with the Omega trickler is that they are apparently out of production. I'd love to have one, but all the sources I know of show for them show "out of stock." Amazon.com goes one step further, saying they're out of stock and they don't know if they'll ever have them again. If anybody knows where I can find one, I'd appreciate a heads up.

Never mind. I didn't realize the Omega is made by Dandy Products. I just went to their web site, and they show it as temporarily out of stock. One other I checked (I forget which) says it's discontinued. Still another says the new one's supposed to be out in August, so I guess I'll just check back later. Thanks again.

Regarding an ac adapter for the omega trickler - you will likely get more than a year of heavy use from a pair of alkaline AAs.

If you went with the Gempro 250 scale you will definitely want to use the ac adapter, a set of 4 AAAs might not last one loading session.
