Best backpacks for hunting

For me, price matters, but i still want good quality.

What kind of hunting?
Daypack for Whitetail?
Going into the outback for several days?

My preference is Alpz Outdoors.
They have reasonably priced products to fit almost any need, and the quality i'm looking for.

Mule, deer blacktail, Elk,etc. need good sturdy pack and frame that will breath

My elk hunting "day" pack is an Eberlestock just one. Had It since 2012, 3 elk hunts(3 kills). Have had 50 plus # (rifle, water,2 elk back straps, etc) no tears or other damage. Once back to truck, I switch to a med "Alice" surplus army pack for all meat hauling(don't want blood on my good equipment). I am 60, so I limit to 60#.

This is the smallest of the Vorn packs. I use it to walk or ride my bike to the mailbox every day which is a 2 mile round trip on a dirt road. If you pull the orange ring, it releases the rifle and you can just pull it out pretty fast.

Load lifters is what takes the weight off the shoulders and puts it on your hips. Don’t even consider a pack without load lifters. A great belt is what makes the weight ride comfortably on the hips.
Sounds like the Kifaru is the way to go, not sure what load lifters are. Do most of the higher end packs have load lifters like Stone Glacier?

Kifaru is the best pack on the market. If I had a Kifaru 40 years ago in the infantry I wouldn`t be bent over and hurt everywhere. But take the advice and call they are very customer friendly. Jeff

I am also looking for a pack for a upcoming bear hunt. 3-6 day, need around 5000 of storage. Would like it to have a bladder pocket for a hydration bladder, a way to carry a rifle and bow on it, and a place to pack out the meat separate from my other gear. So far the two at the top of my list are the Mystery Ranch beartooth 80 and the Exo K3 4800. Unfortunately I can’t find anywhere local that has these to try them on and check them out. I will be watching this thread...

Personally I hate Mystery Ranch. They made and still make packs here in the USA for the US Government but went overseas to build their hunting packs. They’re not even significantly cheaper. They have the ability to provide USA made but choose to sell America out for big margins. F’em

I have an older Mystery Ranch 6500 on it works very well but is heavier than some of the newer packs. That said, if I were shopping today I'd look at Stone Glacier and Kifaru.

I definitely didn’t like the fact that they are made overseas for the price they are asking. I am now considering the Kifaru also... would like to be able to see these things in person and try them on

Call Kifaru and talk to them. They may have someone near you that will show you their pack.
