Sounds like the Kifaru is the way to go, not sure what load lifters are. Do most of the higher end packs have load lifters like Stone Glacier?Load lifters is what takes the weight off the shoulders and puts it on your hips. Don’t even consider a pack without load lifters. A great belt is what makes the weight ride comfortably on the hips.
Yes , Stone Glacier , Kifaru , and EXO all use load lifters. If I remember I’ll put a pack on tonight an take a picture.Sounds like the Kifaru is the way to go, not sure what load lifters are. Do most of the higher end packs have load lifters like Stone Glacier?
Personally I hate Mystery Ranch. They made and still make packs here in the USA for the US Government but went overseas to build their hunting packs. They’re not even significantly cheaper. They have the ability to provide USA made but choose to sell America out for big margins. F’emI am also looking for a pack for a upcoming bear hunt. 3-6 day, need around 5000 of storage. Would like it to have a bladder pocket for a hydration bladder, a way to carry a rifle and bow on it, and a place to pack out the meat separate from my other gear. So far the two at the top of my list are the Mystery Ranch beartooth 80 and the Exo K3 4800. Unfortunately I can’t find anywhere local that has these to try them on and check them out. I will be watching this thread...
I definitely didn’t like the fact that they are made overseas for the price they are asking. I am now considering the Kifaru also... would like to be able to see these things in person and try them onPersonally I hate Mystery Ranch. Call Kifaru and talk to them. They may have someone near you that will show you their pack.I definitely didn’t like the fact that they are made overseas for the price they are asking. I am now considering the Kifaru also... would like to be able to see these things in person and try them on
