What Rain Jacket??

If Frog Togs just had 2 pockets they would be fine. But.....but.....
Frog Tog saved my bacon last week in Africa ... woke up to 30 degrees and didnt think much of it ... warms up fast right. Two ours later in the mountains it started sleeting and then snowing on us as we closed in on a Giant Kudu. Lucky for me I had my Frog tog in the bottom of my pack that I had purchased in 2016 for an Elk Hunt ... I had never even put it on ... Saved the Hunt !!!!

I may have purchased a lower end frog-togg one time from a bigger chain store, that thing was super noisy and the elastic wrist cuffs were terrible.

About 40 plus years ago I bought the first Woolrich Gortex hooded camo rain jacket they marketed. It has a light nylon liner and pockets, zips, soft quiet outer material, I love it. But it now seeps at the shoulder seams in a lot of rain and the color is badly faded. Looking for something similar that comes below the waist about 6 in. Any suggestions. Considered Kuiu but don't want as they advertise, athletic fit. Looking for hunting comfort not style. Any suggestions.
Sitka is old kuiu. Sold sitka to gortex for their new line...kuiu

Kuiu (the last few yrs anyhow) has a booth to try things on at the Eastern sports and outdoor show in Harrisburg.

Athletic fit is their first layer. If you get their overlay jackets or outer layers. They fit me just fine and i am far from being "fitted" .

I prefer their marino wool base layer at camp, then add a full zip basecamp sweater, 3rd layer is their guide jacket ,(with or without the sweater) or my top outer extreme is kutana gale force! With room for the sweater if ya want exter warmth but never do! And i hunt the mountain above you ,not far north of the cambria county fairgrounds.

I have @ 5 pair of bottoms, 5 marino base layer , really got into their lightest layer for golf (Gila) (Gala)? and fishing.
The only piece i never liked was their down and i returned several of them, just didnt fit me right.
Kenai jacket has always been my favorite! 1.5 hrs in pouring rain, jacket looked soaked!! Not a drop inside and you do not have to get camo! They have plenty of solid colors

Me and My boys with guide jacket and in Alaska with a Alaskan Husky and katana jacket, marino wool base.
i never wore out a piece of kuiu yet!

Expensive? I dont think so! Go try and buy land or a new pick up!
I just watch kuiu sales and keep adding to the collection, sales are mostly odd sizes or colors nobody bought

I have Kuiu summer and winter gear. Stuff just works. Frogg Toggs raincoats work fine, but I only use at the range or when walking due to the lack of pockets. Sorry to hear Woolrich left PA, if that`s correct. Spent lots of money at their store in Woolrich. Edit: I looked up Woolrich on the web. Headquarters is still in Woolrich,PA. But no clothing is made there any longer. And it appears the outlet store is closed. I looked at their catalog and it doesn`t look like anything I ever wore. I guess that`s change. Too bad. Jeff

Midway has certain sizes of the Frogg Toggs Pilot 2 bibbs and jackets in their bargain bin on clearance. If they have your size, it is a great deal. About $60 each and they are one of the models at Frogg Toggs that have a lifetime warranty.

Disregard, they have gone back up on the price.

I must be old fashion but i look ridiculous in camouflage , I just wear a couple heavy shirts and a vest most of the time, although I recently bought a 80% wool 20% poly jacket for the really cold days.
Warm and quiet, sheds water like a ducks back.

One thing about Frog Togs. Mine are old but never ever seeped or worse, leaked.
