best ar platforms if u reload. (easiest on brass)

I'm in the market for an ar type rifle. As indecisive as I am I'm having a hard enough time deciding if I want a heavier bull barrel prone type rifle or an off hand light weight one. One thing I'm looking for and I can't find through manufacturer info is how hard they are on brass. I do realize they are basically the same mechanically but are there certain models/brands that aren't as hard on brass? Or is it how each is tuned? I recently shot a friends dpms ar 10 and although extremely accurate it destroyed the brass. The 2 dents on the necks upon ejection were if not unrepairable very close. So I realized a very important requirement for me. the rifle I purchase can not destroy brass after 1 firing. I understand they by nature stretch the brass more then a bolt action but if I can't get 4+ reloadings out of good brass then i will not be reloading for it. Which makes my decision easier in that I won't be buying a precision prone type rifle but instead a lighter rifle better for off hand shooting with less importance on accuracy and more on durability as I will be mostly shooting cheap off shelf ammo.any help would be appreciated. Thanks, nick

Get the high top reciever so you dont have to use the one inch riser for the scope mounts and it doesnt have a ejection port door or brass deflector. Then tune the ejection spring so it piles up in front of you and you have no worrys. I have one this way and it doesnt touch the brass or dent it.

A rifle-length gas system is the least abusive of your brass, mid-length next, carbine next, and a pistol is worst. That said, there are ways to slow down bolt opening and extraction like bolt carrier weights and heavier buffers. An adjustable gas block will also help dramatically, since you can adjust the gas to where the rifle just cycles reliably.

+1 What he said...

its mainly up to the user, as has been pointed out...
you can tune YOUR rifle TO YOUR loads....

no real need to abuse brass....

I run a lot of reloads on my AR's without them beating up brass. In fact, I doubt they would know what to do with factory ammo. Adjustable Gas block is a good fix as is tuning your load so it isn't as violent.
