Best .22 cal VMAX

Just curious here because I've heard a lot of things regarding a the different Vmaxes in .22 cal. But in y'all's opinion what's the best Vmax for just all round work in .22 cal ? Everything I'm seeing says the 60 for the fast twists that can handle it and if not fast twist the 50gr . Apparently there not as explosive for larger critters like yotes and hold up to high velocity but they still will explode a small varmint pretty decent ( not really my thing though one I don't have those critters and two just kind don't enjoy blowing em up lol)

Anyhow just curious what y'all think , not looking for any definite answer just thoughts and experiences

For prairie dogs where some shots can be way on out there we have found the 53 vmax bucks the wind better than the others in our 223’s
It is very noticeable when the wind is up
They outshined the 50g by a lot.
If you are using a bigger meaner 22 cartridge I could not say
We all shoot 7 and 8 twist. We don’t think a thing about shooting them to 500 yds
Even at more usual range like 200-350 the 53 could handle the wind like a champ

I shoot a lot of 224 caliber. In my experience, the "best" Vmax bullets depend on the twist of your rifle.

For example, in my 12" twist 223 Rem bolt rifles, the 55 Vmax gives me the best accuracy at my limiting range of 300 yards. The flat base I believe aids in small dispersion. I used them for many years in the past.

In my 8" twist 223 Rem bolt rifles, the 60 Vmax give me the best accuracy, bar none. It is a real hammer on predators. Again, that flat base and long shank I believe aids in small dispersion in this rate of twist. I began using these about 5 years ago or so when I acquired my first 8" twist 223 Rem Tikka.

The Vmax bullets are excellent varmint / predator bullets in my experience. However, in my 12" twist 223's I used Nosler 50 and 55 BT's which gives me the most consistent results on target. Some of the longest shots I have made on varmints were with the 50 Nosler BTs.

With that said, I don't think you can go wrong with Vmax bullets with loads tuned to your rifle.

You can't go wrong with, the 50 grain V-Maxes, in a 1-14 Twist .22 cal., CF Rifle,..
Love them, at 3,550 fps, in my short action, Rem 700, Sporter Barrel, in .22-250 Rem.
SUB 1/2 MOA accuracy from, an 8 pound "Walking Varmint" Rifle and with NO, "Muzzle Jump" at, this Velocity,..
so I can SEE,.. the "Splodies" !
PD's and Sage Rats, are Terrified of,.. this Load ( it's, A SURE Thing Killer to, 300 Yards ! )
( .223 Ai Velocity ) with, below Max chg's of,.. IMR 4895 or, H-380 gets IT, Done for Me !

However, I will gravitate to, the Better BC's of, the 53 gr. V-Max and 55 gr Sierra Blitz King's when, I go with, a New 1-9 Twist Barrel in .22 Creedmoor and I will still, Keep the Velocity at, a Level so that, I can Avoid,.. "Muzzle Jump" !
I like 7 1/2 to 8 Pound Rifles for,.. walking around and I like, Seeing,.. the Splodies

I use 50gr in two 223s. A friend uses the 53s in his 223. All my shots are with in 150 yards and they perform just fine. But i do like the 50gr nosler varmint tipped better. Just way more money and been hard to find last 6 years.
