Best 1000$ Long range Benchrest scope

Oh exalted, firing line hardened competitors. I come humbly before thee with this question. If I had about a grand to spend on a long range benchrest scope what Is the most bang for my bucks?
Asking for a friend of course.

Edit I mean nightforce benchrest. Or if you’re a shrewd negotiator maybe the comp.

Not sure about the left over cash, but i'll agree on the scope.
Just bought one myself last week on the classifieds on this forum.

If i were searching for new, i'd still pick the Sightron SIII, and contact Lancexxx on here for pricing.

First off consider used. All the topscope have good warranties for the most part. I have had several different brands. For the money and holding point of aim the Vortex Golden Eagel is hard to beat. Can usually be had for about 1000.00 used or if your a veteran around 1130.00 through their Veterans Program.The Sightrons Slll work or their straight power scopes. A variable is not a must, most never move it off a given power.
