Berger's at 916 yds

My neighbor just came in from his lease with a 125# hog shot at 916 yds. He uses a 6.5-284 with 140 gr Berger VLDs. His gun was built by Speedy and has a Nesika action, Kreiger barrel, Jewel trigger, and a NF 8-32 NXS. He had ranged the feeder the day before and shot several rounds at a target set up at the feeder to establish his come-ups,about a 1/2 MOA). He shot in a low/no wind condition and had a complete pass through the rib section. The hog ran about 20 yds.

He was using the Berger 140 VLd's. He also has a 7 point buck at 650 yds. this year. He hunts on a powerline ROW that is flat except for some 2' high ridges that run across the powerline. He puts corn on the ridges and range finds back to the stand. He has a chart with each yardage and MOA comeup for his NF stapled to the stand wall. In my OP I meant the gun shot a 1/2 MOA group at 916 yds, ~ 4-5 inch 3 shot group.
