i'v used this free service for all my ballistic charts and my personal longest shot was 530 yds. on sat we were on a ridge overlooking two large and long fields. we shot 3, longest at 381 yds. there was a lull in the killing, so i was glassing all the hills and there in a private cemetery was a ghog sitting on a gravestone. my leica 1600 ranged it at 636 yds! my buddy had the 381 yd kill with his 6x47 lapua shooting 70 nbt at about 3700 fps, so i suggested he take the shot. only problem was i had done his ballistic chart to only 600yds. i'v done a lot of these charts so i had a feel for how much each click would elevate his range, so i guessed the number of clicks to reach 636 yds. a very slight wind so he held on his tail and sent it...could not hear the splatt but i saw the sucker roll over DEAD!!! it continues to amaze me as to how fast bullets reach the target. when i got home i ran the numbers on his chart out to 700 yds and the chart actually had a range for 636 yds...1/8 min more than my guess!!! luck, skill, devine intervention or as we occasionly say in NE tenn..."even a blind hog occasionally finds an acorn." i finished the day with a 13# 8 oz male...largest to date.
