Berger VLD target in a 6.5/284

I have been loading match king 140s in my 6.5/284 with a .020 jump. Does the Berger 140 VLD targets
also need to be jumped or loaded in the lands?
Just thought I may save a few rounds on my barrel if someone has some info

I load my 140 VLDs at .020" off for hunting but have tried them out as far as .060". My 6.5 shot them very good at everything in between and to .010" off, where I stopped. YMMV with your setup but I never had to jam them to get them to shoot sub 1/2moa groups.

I like them .005-.010 jammed with the vld's that's been the sweet spot for my loads.

I always had the best luck soft seating the 140 target VLD.
