Berger Long Range Hybrid Target Jump Testing?

Looking at doing a depth test this weekend on my BR shooting the 109 LRHT. Ive read conflicting info from Berger - one says start at .015" off and increase .005" from there (that is a lot of rounds in a primer shortage). They also say their VLD test works for the LRHT (6 rounds each starting either .010 jump or jam then increase by .040" for subsequent groups). I even considered just simply doing a 3 shot group jumping by .010 starting at the lands.

Start at .005” off from touch and go 5 thousand at time until.025” off. Never had a gun that didn’t shoot a hybrid at .020” off
Fine tune from there

Don't know about the 109's, but mine likes the 105 Hybrids about .030 off the lands. I'm sort of a rookie at this stuff though.

I'm currently playing with the 105 Hybird target and so far mine dont like .010 jam or .005 jam. Slowly working away from the lands but again, primer worries....

I do all my initial load work up with 2 shot groups If first 2 don't hit the same hole I keep going as a 3rd shot won't make it better. First two are on top of each other, shoot a third one. When you get back to back 3 shot groups like this your on to something. I often shoot heavy jam up to .050 but have also jumped .030. Let your gun tell you what it wants, All testing done with wind flags.

DID SOME SEATING DEPTH TESTING TODAY MYSELF WITH MY 6 DASHER WITH 105GR HYBRID .005 IN NO GO .010 IN NO GO BUT KISSING LANDS BUGHOLE SO GOT TO REPEAT THIS LOAD THE 3RD TIME TO CONFRIM BUT IT LIKED THIS COMBO 32.3GR RL-15 WITH 450 PRIMERS

Get a barrel tuner and then it doesn't matter how long you seat 'em

I found -0.020 off to work for me with the 109s. I cleaned several 600 yard F Class matches with them this year
