6 br barrel hates 105 berger hybrids?

Seen the same with near all bullets. Follow Alex's advice and change powders. For me the 105 Hybrid never shot good until I jumped them .010" to maybe as much as .020". Each barrel is different but try seating depth changes. Jam or jump, it's nothing you can figure out until you test.

Also think the 105 Hybrids do better with a 1 in 7.5 twist or even a 1 in 7 twist. Does not mean a 1 in 8 twist will not work. Just sometimes that puts it on the edge of stability, maybe especially at the slower speeds of a standard BR case.

For simplicity then, switch bullets to either the 105 VLD - jammed, or the 108 Bergers' at near any seating depth.

Gee, I don't shoot 6 Dasher yet, but from what I read the 105 Hybrid is the overwhelming choice of the top shooters in PRS matches.

That'll work !.!.!
Well I’m just thinking that if seating depth and powder charge are arbitrary, then you won’t know if the differences are from the powder or the seating depth and powder charge. So within the scope of a long shooting session you have to keep some things constant but you have to tune a little bit too.

This is 5 shots from my criterion 1:8 twist 6br using h4895. This was first powder charge i tried. Never did any more testing. My competition shooting is just amongst friends. Good enough for what i do.

I have a 260 that will not shoot 140 hybrids at all. It took me 3 full boxes of them to confirm it to lol.

Switched to the 142 SMK and it shot great.

No fault of the bullet, just a barrel that worked with one and not the other.

Now see if it will repeat a few times .... plus it looks like vertical, may need to add a little more.... Leave nothing on the table......... jim

hi
found the problem with the 105 hybrids, also would not shoot any other bullets well either,
a friend noticed after another failed shooting session,
the rear tang on my savage was touching wood! used the dollar bill trick ,running the bill all the way around the receivers edges checking for clearence,
after removing some wood the first group was good! ,hopefull, still need to mess with seating depth but the problem is solved.
thx for the help!
Scott
Are you saying the receiver is "floated"?

It does same grouping ever time i take it out. Ive been shooting it for 3 years. Has low round count as i only shoot it twice a yaer. Maybe 300 rounds down it.
