Berger coming out with an 87 gr VLD for the 243

I received an E-mail from Walt a while back stating that they will be producing an 87 gr VLD for the 6mm. Should be perfect for a lot of those 10 twist factory tubes out there. My T3 lite is anxiously waiting to test them out. ;D

You are going to really like these bullets. I have been using them in my Tikka 243 10 twist that is my main deer gun and getting 1MOA or better 3 shot groups out of it out to 300 yards. While I wouldnt think thats great in my comp guns, in this rifle, its better than anything else I have tried. And, as are the other Berger hunting bullets, they are devastating on deer as we shot 2 deer with them this year and talk about explosive. Lung shots are the way to go, avoid destroying meat and knock em out without the need to do any tracking.

John,
How long are these guys? Do you think I'll be able to mag feed them in my 6mmPDK?
I didn't see it on their web site. Is it a Target or Hunting bullet?

Greg

1.0435" long. Should have no problem loading them mag length in a 6mmpdk, though I have not tried them in that cartridge (my only 6PDK is a 8 twist and its a spacegun match upper). Its a hunting bullet, but will work just fine for target use more than likely. Accuracy-wise, certainly would.

John

No, should work fine in a 1/8. If I get a chance, I will test them out of a 1/8, but I need to run some out of another 1/10 bbl this weekend first though.

JMO but there way over priced. There more coin that the 105 even the 95 vld and less copper and lead?????
