Berger Bullets for .223 Caliber

rebs

The rifle is a 223 with a 24" barrel 1/8 twist. What Berger Bullet would be the best choice for shooting 100 yds?
What Berger Bullet would be the best for shooting 300 yds?
I have Re15 and varget powder, BR4 primers.

What caliber are we talking about? If it is the 6BR or that family the 103s to 109s will work in both places. I had good results with the 95 gr. as well.

What's your use case? AR? Bolt gun? Mag length? At 100 yards, there is no wrong answer 52gr-80gr IMO. At 300 75gr-80gr will serve you well, but your OAL requirement may rule out the 75 VLD and 80's.

I played with the 73's with real good results several years back. I just settled on hornady 73 eldm due to price differences so i could buy and shoot more.

Several f class HM shooting Varget or SW Precision 23.6gr with 80smk, 77smk, or 80.5. Two of us have gotten 149-14× and 150-13× in our 15 shot relays. Our f class rifle league range is 300yds. ISRA service rifle team using 24gr re15 80.5 Berger bullets.
