Berger bullet question

I was at Graphs Reloading today to buy some Berger 108 BT, they only had 2 boxes on the shelf but I noticed that even though they were the same 108 BT match and the same PN# 243108t, they had a different recomended twist and a different BC listed on the top of the box. One box had a BC of .546 and a twist of 1:8, the other box was something like BC .52? and a recomended twist of 1:9. That and the lot # was the only difference.

Were the dies changed? Does anyone know what the difference is? At first I thought maybe I grabed one of the VLD boxes but thats not the case.

You might want to perform a search on this topic. I seem to remember a reasonably long discussion dealing with this, including comments from Eric Stecker of Berger.

The 6mm 108 gr BT that listed a BC of .52? and a twist rate of 9" were from the very first batch of 108 gr BT we made. We used a label from another bullet,6mm 95 gr VLD I believe) but did not change the BC abd twist data. This was a mistake on our part.

All of the 6mm 108 gr BT have been made using the same die, has a BC of .546 and the recommended twist is 1 in 8". Those labels are wrong and should be ignored, the bullets are really good by all acounts and frankly I am surprised that there are any from this batch left).

I apologize for the confusion and our mistake.

Regards,
Eric

Thanks Eric, I used some of the bullets with the new label today with great results. Now that I know they are the same I can get up there and buy the other box as well. These were in there store which is down the street from the warehouse, which was closed by the time I got there). Im certain the store does'nt move near as much product as the warehouse where orders are taken.

Thanks again for the response.
