Does any one know what the difference is between the regular 95 VLD,part # 24427) and the 95 gr VLD hunting bullet, part # 24527)? I have just recently tested the regular vld match bullets,24427) with excellent results and need to purchase more.I'm just punching paper so accuracy is what I'm after. However, The hunting bullets,24527) are cheaper from midway and if they would shoot just as well I might give them a try. Thanks for any info.

Awhile back Berger was talking about making their target bullets with thicker jackets to keep them from blowing up at high velocity and rotational speed. Perhaps that is what the two new part numbers indicate.

I just got some 95 VLDs a few weeks ago and they are still labeled with the old part number, rather than one of the two new part numbers listed now.

The target bullets have a thicker jacket to avoid blowups, the hunting bullets have a thinner jacket to allow for a "blowup" and quick kill on game. Buy target for paper and hunting for game. Easy.
