Mine have plenty of room in an AI mag, jumping .015" in a Rem Match chamber.

Here are a couple other choices. Accurate Mag makes a 223 specific magazine, but the one I have is a 10 rounder and sticks out of the bottom of the DBM a country mile, or modify a AICS magazine.

1 - with the Accurate Mag you will need to disassemble it and do some minor work to the plastic insert to allow a longer OAL. This is a simple ordeal. Without too much effort you'll get 2.5".
2 - modifying the AICS magazine will involve bending the feed lips and gluing a spacer on both sides of the magazine (inside of it of course). I saw how to do this in a SnipersHide thread. This will give you enough space inside to seat any 224 caliber bullet any length you want, and then some.

I did both for my new 223AI as I only planned to shoot heavy's which include the 80.5 fullbore. FWIW, this bullet shoots fantastic from my rifle and I have only tried one powder and primer combination so far. They both feed well with the nod going to the Accurate Mag. This is with a 223AI case (the 223 cases when fireforming feed like butter).
