Optimal barrel twist rate for this bullet is 1-6. This bullet may not be stabilized with your 1-8 twist. Also this bullet is a target bullet and may not perform on game.Anyone have experience with terminal performance of the target 90 gr HPBT?
Loading them in an 8 twist 243 win for a friend and was curious.
1 in 10 works on the 90s..1 in 8 will be more than enough.Optimal barrel twist rate for this bullet is 1-6. This bullet may not be stabilized with your 1-8 twist. Also this bullet is a target bullet and may not perform on game.
Hi Phil, check that. I think the value for a 90 hpbt shows pretty good at 1:8Optimal barrel twist rate for this bullet is 1-6. This bullet may not be stabilized with your 1-8 twist. Also this bullet is a target bullet and may not perform on game.
I have a 22" 1-10" .243win that I load the B90gr for. I have shot coyotes out to 450yds with and have never recovered a bullet. The dogs don't care for it either.

I blew an armadillo to pieces a few weeks ago with one out of my 6XC.
In a 243 the 95 or 105 hunting bullet might be even better for deer.
I’ve shot them at 800yds, f class lr target, with a 100-7x once I got zeroed. Thanks that's exactly what I needed to know
Pardon me? Berger says minimum 1:10, where do you get 1:6 from?Optimal barrel twist rate for this bullet is 1-6. This bullet may not be stabilized with your 1-8 twist. Also this bullet is a target bullet and may not perform on game.
Ahh yes, that would make more sense. I don't shoot anything with heavy 22 cal bullets so my mind didn't even go there.I'm guessing he's got 22 caliber 90 gr heavies on the brain.
IMO .... Berger's are NOT for hunting, Hornady's are (too) soft as well.
Barefooter is BERGER...that's why we are baffled.Pardon me? Berger says minimum 1:10, where do you get 1:6 from?
