Berger 6mm 108 Grain Match BT Target question for 6BR

hi guys and girls
just wondering if anyone is using the Berger 6mm 108 Grain Match BT Target in their 6BR and how do you find them

the reason i ask is because us shooters in Australia are having a bloody hard time trying to get Berger bullets into the country for 6mm and some other sizes, i was using 105gr hunting vlds and 105gr hybrids but my stocks are just about dry (last lot i was able to get was 6 months ago and the importers are trying to get them but Berger doesn't send them any :-[ ) and the only ones i can get my hands on are the 108gr BT but i really cant find much on them

so if anyone has any info on them in 6BR please let us know or i might have to try Hornady or Nosler comp 105gr ones or something ,
Sierra 107gr are just to expensive here

cheers

A friend of mine on here, "Smoking-Brass" uses them in his 6mmBR. He does VERY well with them. P.M. him for his particulars on that bullet.. He will be glad to help you..

I dont use a 6br, but in my 6xc, the 108bt is the best shooting bullet I have found. my guess is that you arent going to be disappointed if you try them....if the 105 vlds and hybrids work, the 108s should do just as well, if not better

The 108's work very well in two of my 6BR's and were easier to tune than the 105 VLD.

Change that 6br out to a Dasher and get back with Ben (shootdots) for info on how to shoot the Berger 108's. He is making those boolits go in to very small groups at very long distances. 😁

That's great to hear guys yeah im getting 1.6inch to 2.5inch groups at 500m or 547yards when i do my part with my hybrids and hunting vlds with 30.6gr of varget so if the 108gr stuff can do that i will be happy
Just.gotta do more load testing again

i use the 108 bergers with N150 in my 8 twist bartlein in 600 and1000yd br here in the uk.the N150 is far easier to get hold of than Varget.the 108s were easy to tune pet load is 32-0gns N150- cci 450 primers-lapua brass.a few of my fellow shooters use the 105s but they are in short supply now.

30.7 grains of RL15 with Tula Small Rifle Primers seated ten thou into the land is where my 1-8 twist Krieger likes them

Very Respectfully

I may be wrong but 32 grains of N150 sounds like a pretty hot load for a straight 6BR ???

B-dale this load shoots fine in my borden action i can go to 32.4 but get a little hard bolt lift. i have had 6 firings on 40 cases primer pockets are still fine.dont forget here in the uk it never stops raining so tempratures help with warm loads.

I have 200 on their way but my new BR likes the 105 JLK too. If the 108's shoot better I might have to get more or raid your joint while your up north!

haha i looked at the JLK but dam they are expensive (approx $55/100), i wont have time to test for a few weeks as i will be flatout with painting the house when i'm home this time, but i will make them up to test so if i get time i will shoot up to the range.. let you know how they go or if you do yours before me, let me know

My 6BR shooting the 108's with 29.7 grains of Varget is the most accurate set up I have. My Dasher shooting the 105 Hybrids always finishes second to my 6BR in BR matches.

Your getting ripped off mate at 55/100 for the JLK's. I get them direct from Dyers at $44/100. Order 400 at a time for the same amount of postage as 100.
