I believe the thinner jacket is what makes the smaller point possible. If you really want to see a small (read nonexistent) hollow point, check out the new Sierra 107's.

Will the 105 hunting rounds shoot as well as the 105 targets do

Yes I know alot of guys myself included that shoot or shot the hunting rnds over the target rnds because they shot better. Berger said that it was because the thinner jackets on the hunting rnds are more consistent. Thats just what I was told and from my experience that what I shoot. Not trying to start any arguments.

Its the jacket thickness. The target jackets are slightly thicker. Same accuracy load you have for one should work with the other.
