Go while you can. Tomorrow could bring a medical problem. I came down with cancer in my hip 10 years ago and can't climb or ride anymore. One thing for sure, everyone gets something as they age. I am 87 and can't get up from a prone position any longer. Shoot from a bench with a couple marine sniper buddies around your age and can still do that well. Started with the 6.5 PRC in 2017 and have enjoyed it. Never hunted with it but there is no doubt it will do well. I bought a .264 win m70 when they first came out for $115 and it was a rocket but I didn't have money to sheep hunt and there were very few good big game bullets. We used it for varmits with 87 and 100g sierras. Speed? There were no chronos but we loaded it to the max with the old H4831.
