I get about 2875 with 140 Berger VLD and 47.5 grs. of N165. Boyd Heaton and others at our Williamsport 1k club get about 2940 and do very well with this wildcat using 140 gr. bullets. Boyd was using H4350. Martin Daily uses about 49.7 grs. N165 for about 2950? Uses a drop tube to fit it in. Shot very well with this last year. If you're interested in this round do a search on this site as it has been discussed the last couple of years. Boyd/Martin chime in! I can't get mine to go much below 11" at 1k. Have built a 6 x 47 Lapua that shows real promise.
I thought the new 130 gr. Bergers might do better with a little more velocity.

I use 49.1gr of n165 with a 140gr berger.I have a broughten barrel 1-8 twist.My gun was chambered with a 6.5/25wssm reamer witha long throat.I worked this load up very slowly to this charge.this load is pretty hot and I wouldn't recumend starting any near this.jerry I just think you need to put a little more powder in.Bring it to williamsport in the spring and let me shoot it a couple times and I'll see what I think

My 26wssm provides 56.6grH20 capacity. With this, and tungsten coated Lap139s, I get 3020 w/47.4gr IMR4350.
I'm pretty sure my powder is slow/cooler, and this is a full case.
Shoots great there luckily.

Jerry,I am gonna try them.I have played with the 130 Normas alittle..My daughter shot some dandy 9 shot groups with the 140 A-Maxs last year out of her light 6.5wssm...Too bad they count 10.I remember one group had the first 9 shots under 4.5.The tenth opened it up to 9...It always seems to be shot 1 or shot 10 thats out of the group.Which tells me there is a gun handling issue going on...Just havn't figgerd it out yet...I am gonna be running a 6.5 Heaton.,wssm)9 twist all this coming season in heavy gun.Have some Bergers coming...Will let you know
