Berger 55gr 20 cal bullet, is this the end?

Well I got used to grafs having them in stock and I checked tonight and they are gone. Anybody know if another special run is in the making or is this the end of the road? I hope not, I don't understand why more people don't shoot this bullet. I understand it's best suited in some wildcat fast twist rifles but once your experience this combo at about 3600+ you won't want that pulled away from you.

As far as I know Berger makes a run once a year for Grafs exclusively. It seems to me that this time of year is when we see them again. The fact that they are out of stock now means to me that they are selling. I buy 1k a year just to have em and will see If I can find my receipts from previous years.

These are different times, I dont care what gun it is anymore I buy enough bullets to wear out the barrel because you never know

Especially when an alternative component isn’t readily available.
Hoping Berger will continue their 1X annual production of this bullet but right now NAMMO appears to be distracted with lucrative military contracts.

I have not seen any 20 cal berger bullets in 2 years. Im just glad i got some more 35's while i did. Im now wanting some 40's but will not hold my breath.

I had some posted for trade while back along with the 50s. Was trying to get some 39sbk which were hard to find but now they are making them again.
Most people don’t have a fast enough twist barrel to shoot those.

When available, the 55 Bergers are sold exclusively by Graf’s. My last order was about 9 months ago. Will Berger continue doing the once per year run of that bullet? Only The Shadow knows….

I emailed berger to see when they make some more 20 cal. They usually reply fast. This was yesterday so i know they were closed. We will see what they reply

So i got a reply from berger. First part of next year they will make some 20 cal bullets. Did not sound like alot would be produced since they said they will go fast so get on a wait list somewhere. I would much prefer berger bullets but might have to go to another brand that seems to be more in stock. I wish they cranked out more bullets than what they do

FWIW. Blackhole custom bullets used to make a 55 gr .20 cal rebated boat tail bullet that shot just as well as the 55 gr Berger to 500 yds for me, years ago. He still makes a 50, 52, and 60 gr .20 cal bullets, but I've never shot them. Nice guy to deal with.

This is great news that they are gonna make more. I think we all need to message hornady and ask them to make a Bullet in the 50-55 gr range. I know many have done it in the past but need to keep asking I guess.

This is all so frustrating. This winter I want to make up a light fast 20 cal for this spring's varmint shooting. Normally I spend my energy dwelling over chambering choices but nowdays the focus is all about sourcing and securing a barrel's worth of quality components before buying the barrel! Makes the project much more expensive upfront and even more when it is Lapua and Berger!

I found these over on Snipers Hide. Not sure if these are still available.
