Berger 155’s in 30-06

I think some versions of the original ball ammo were using 150 grain bullets. No reason that a 155 would not work and it would probably not require a lot of load development. I would not load them hot however.

The Berger 155.5 Full Bore's shoot really good in my 30-06 bolt guns. 53 grs. of IMR 4064 will get you there. That's a max load for me. You could use IMR 4350, but IMR 4064 is more effective. All the 155'shoot good even the Hornady 155 match bullets with the same load. They are Palma inspired.

My 30-06 is a Remington ADL hunting rifle. It shoots the 155 Hunting VLD very well. H4350 around 58 grains, gives a velocity of around 2950 in a 24" barrel. Bullet at about .003 jump. 3 shot group at .3 at 100

Any thought on shooting 155,s through a 1903a1 sniper clone. 3-600 yd. Been shooting 175 vld and just curious. Using IMR 4350
All my TR shooting friends use them in a .308 and drive them at just a touch over 3’000fps with great accuracy. Bergers & Sierra’s
Should be able to see them going mid 3’s from a 30-06.
