When you look at box of these, the recomendation is to use a twist faster than 1-8
Has anyone shot these in a 8 twist barrel in a 6XC?

I have just started testing the 115s in my 243. It has a 7.7 twist, so far I am getting great results. I know its not a 6XC or a 8 twist, but its close I guess. Hope this helps some.

If you search for posts on this topic by forum member Robert Whitley you will be able to access information on this issue. Based on what I understand on the topic, some 8 twist barrels will shoot the 115 gr projectiles. A twist rate around 1/7.5 to 1/7.7 will probably work better; anything less than 1/7.5 can cause problems also.

I think the other issue is attempting to shoot 115 gr projectiles in the 6xc (yes I know D. Tubb and others make it work). I think you might have better success shooting one of the Berger 105's with the case capacity of a 6xc or 240 NMC.

I tried them in 2x button rifled 8" twist barrels, so they could have been on the slower side of 8". No success at all. I still have 2 1/2 boxes of them here in case I get a faster barrel.
