Berger 105g Hybrid seat depth

Curious where everyone is finding the sweet spot for the 105g Hybrids?

I shoot this bullet in a Whidden .243 and 6BRX.

After playing with seating depth on both of these, I ended up with .030" jump as the best for both?
Luck, or does this bullet prefer this much jump typically?

On the 6BRX, .010" jump groups as well as .030" But, .015" jump falls apart, where .025" through .035" are more constant.

You're pretty much on the money. The Hybrid seems to be happy at several different jump lengths. My seating test is usually load them to mag length and go. It's worked out so far.

What I suggest to shooters who want to use our HYBRID TARGET or EOL/ELITE HUNTER HYBRID bullets is to start the bullet seating depth testing at .015 OFF THE LANDS. Then WORK BACK INTO THE CARTRIDGE CASE IN .005 INCREMENTS. Generally a bullet seating depth accuracy node can be found somewhere in the .060 distance from the .015 off the lands starting point. However there have been cases where going forward toward the lands in small increments (.002-.003) has been the way to go for some rifles. The Hybrid bullets in most cases are very tolerant of jump. Again , there can be some rifles that are the exception.

15 off, gives me 5-shots touching at 200. Off a bipod, prone with no bags . I stopped looking for anything better after I got to that point. . Mullerworks 7:75, throated for Berger's, . Standard 243, using 4831sc.

In regards to the .015 jump starting point recommendation on the Target Hybrid. Same?
Yes, Starting your seating depth testing at .015 off the lands. Then working back into the cartridge case in .005 increments with the Berger Hybrid Target or EOL/ELITE HUNTER bullets IF you are doing any bullet seating depth testing generally works the best. Of course there are exceptions due to differences between rifles. But that is what I start with.

my 6BRX like hybrids .008 jump , started at .004 jump and worked out in .004 increments
was happy from .004 to .012 jump (had a bit of sideways wind when i tested at 200 meters)

Looks great. Can you tell me more about this load? Thanks!

Yeah im using 32.4gr of varget with my 105gr hybrids and cci 450 primers . Spot on 3000fps with my lab radar. I had 2 nodes when testing 32.3gr to 32.5gr and 33.5gr to 33.7gr .. the higher node was to fast and would of hurt my brass imo so i went with 32.4gr and .008 off the lands and its shot great with many of my 5 shot groups having 4 rounds under an inch at 500 meters (547y) but i always had one round taking it out to over an inch or two.. always one haha

Great! This is a big help. I did my powder charge OCW with Varget. My 2985-3000 fps node was with 32.8g - 32.9g, but with standard CCI 400 primers. .010" jump and .030" jump both work well. I plan on doing some side by side testing with primers this weekend. CCI 400, 450 & GM 205.Thanks again!
