Here is one of these actions disassembled it has Remington threads an cone bolt.
Can some one tell me what type of replacement trigger I can get for the B14?
Like I said earlier I just fit a barrel to one of those actions my customer re did the firing pin he wasn't happy with the original fit plus they where supposedly having trouble with the bolt shroud on this action under some kind of recall.Okay one more question to save me some research or confusion. Why is it that the firing pin assembly looks so different from a standard 700? Are those interchangeable? It appears that the standard 700 has a circular rear part to the assembly and the bergara has this flat bottom with multi contoured top and when you cock it there is a little "loaded indicator" that sticks out the back. I'm just wondering in case some day I decided to get a replacement.
I think them folks at Shilen were taught by Hart barrels, well I heard anyhow.I thought that one of the good things was supposed to be their button rifled barrels that Shilen supposedly taught them how to make? Is this not the case?
Don't complain about that trigger! they wont let us have that anymore, instead thank and praise them for us.I bought my B14 Timber in .243 a few weeks ago finally got to the range this past Thursday....
It shoot Remington Core-Loct 100 gr.into .670, .581, and .371" groups at 100 yards.
Norma Whitetail 100 gr. Grouped .449, .296, and .335" at 100 yards.....
All that said, mine was blessed with a Trigger Tech trigger from the factory set at 1.5# ( an email to Bergara USA verified that this is a common mishap at the Bergara factory).
Not a complaint about the trigger ( as Bob Ross would say... It's a Happy Accident). I believe the standard trigger on the B14 series is 2.5# minimum pull weight), unless you get lucky and the smith installs a trigger meant for their one of the premier series rifles by accident, lolDon't complain about that trigger! they wont let us have that anymore, instead thank and praise them for us.
Handsome looking rifle, I don't own a Bergara yet, but, they are looking more and more tempting
Especially if they came with a 1.5# TT
Being used to light triggers to begin with
I don't like any trigger that is over 2 lbs. even on a hunting/field rig
It’s sure nice to see some beautiful wood stock’s again.I bought my B14 Timber in .243 a few weeks ago finally got to the range this past Thursday....

Mine has Resin pillars, which were poured, and drilled dead center....I purchased the b14 hunter, when I put the barrel in the vise the stock and action turned on me, I was shocked. Just make sure to check the barrel/action torque. Oh one more complaint the steel pillars was way out of wack putting the action in a bind. I installed new pillars and bedded, all good now 1/2-3/4 inch groups with 42gr Imr 4350, Hornady 90gr eld-x, Norma brass, Fed primers.
